Home-Based Business Resources: It Begins in Writing

business resourcesAfter finishing school, I just wanted to stay at home. Before being drowned to boredom, I researched a possible home-based business resource. This may sound usual and ordinary because this is probably the trending sideline for professionals who are unemployed in other workplaces. But who knows? This sideline can go big time! Several individuals have succeeded in the home-based business ideas, like the following:

As stated in the article “Looking for a Home Business that Really Works,”such example:

Craig Dewe started internet marketing in 2001 and has been running his current business – which he started in his living room while living in Spain – since 2007. He uses the internet to make a full time living and helps other business owners around the world to be more successful online. He currently lives in New Zealand but plans to travel extensively during 2012 while taking his business with him.

Craig’s world of earning and comfort is at home. One might find it boring; others would look at him as stubborn but I’ll never bother being bored once I earn as much as him. Obviously, Craig works at his best at home. Let’s try to think where our comfort zone is. I might not find it elsewhere but here in my room.

Another example is Lisa Dudson:

Lisa Dudson began investing when she was just 16 years old and has been financially independent for over a decade. She is known as New Zealand’s money expert. She is a bestselling author who has appeared on TV, radio and in several magazines and newspapers. She now enjoys the lifestyle freedom of running her business from the comfort of her own home.

A housewife may earn straight from their home. Surprisingly, the routine work at home may be boring for some women. But, earning by themselves make them contribute more to the family income. At the same time, it becomes less of a hassle because the family is just right there and work is only at the corner.

Here are Article Writing Guidelines

I don’t have a business in mind yet, but I try to use what’s on my mind. Article writing may be generic but the following list  by Elizabeth McGee, in her article  ”How to Keep Blogging When You’re Out of Ideas and Short on Time,”  really helped me more to be creative:

  • Personally comment on a new story in your industry
  • Conduct an interview with an industry expert
  • Write a product or service review
  • Create a specific step by step how to post
  • Conduct your own personal case study
  • Make a list of your favorite useful links
  • Conduct a survey
  • Create an answer to an email question you’ve received or seen on a forum
  • Open your blog for guest posting
  • Revive old blog posts

With these topics for my writing, I was able to structure my articles so I would not run out of topics. It may sound monotonous and seem like everyone is doing such kind of ideas; but writing does not only make me earn but sharpens my mind with the latest and trending information. For people who are looking for a serious home-based business online, try this as a beginner and see for yourself!

Hi. I too have started my own home business some 3 1/2 years and I can’t agree more that one of the most important steps was to begin writing. Obviously, it does help to know what you are going to write about, but as you said ultimately it is by writing that one can start an online endeavor. It does pay off and could be a great “compliment” for income… Thanks for the link to Elizabeth’s posts. She did “nailed” that one :)

I agree with you here. A great write-up will sure get things going for a home business. Elizabeth’s techniques are spot on, especially when you have a writer’s block. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog.

Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about creating my
own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thank you

      Hi there!
It is not very hard to set up a blog. It really does begin with writing. You have to be passionate about your blog. Write about stuff you know and love.
      Thanks for stopping by!
