Brian cites that most people have great goals but ends up not achieving them because they don’t put action when fulfilling those goals. They get on with it and just do it while unsuccessful people get the same ideas and the same information but always have an excuse for not starting.
Ninety-five percent of what you do or not do in life is controlled by your habits. Habits are routines of behavior that are repeated regularly and tend to occur subconsciously. When successful people hear a good idea, they take action and as they do this repeatedly, this becomes a habit.
Brian emphasizes that nothing works the first few times. When you have a good idea and you work on it, it wouldn’t always come out successfully but as you try to do it again, the mistakes lessen and the success rate becomes higher. There are only two possible outcomes if you try, either you succeed or fail. If you succeed, you do more of it and if you fail, you’ll learn from it and become smarter.
